Catholic Marriage Project

Following the call of Pope Francis for parishes and Catholic communities to develop more robust Marriage Catechumenates the Catholic Marriage Project is an initiative of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.

Very shortly, this website will provide training and resources that Catholic communities can use to establish thriving and resilient Marriage Catechumenates that is attuned to your local communities needs.

Course Overview

Supporting the ongoing formation of couples in Australian Catholic parishes and communities through structured and unstructured initiatives delivered by mentor couples.
Each module will include additional resources you can use in your ministry, including questionnaires, relationship enrichment information, and contact lists.

Do we need to have a Mentor Couple already in mind?

There’s no need to have any couples identified before signing up to this course - though it does help.
We'll teach you from the ground up, and you’ll gain all the knowledge and skills you need to establish a mentoring ministry in your parish.

How can I start the Catholic Marriage Project in my parish?

You can speak with your Parish Priest about bringing the Catholic Marriage Project to your parish.

This course contains all necessary information for Parish Priests and Mentor Couples alike to establish the ministry in their community.
